I started Curious Pixel Inc. in 2005 when I moved to the Kansas City area from Washington DC . In DC I had worked for a number of agencies specializing in producing campaigns for large corporations like Sprint, Pfizer, Fannie Mae and Virgin Mobile. I also spent some time working in-house as a Creative Director for a small telecom start-up. While the former provided incredible experience and exposure to the advertising industry, the latter provided invaluable experience in business management and development. It wasn’t long before I realized that my passion was the combination of the two, taking the skills I had learned working for large corporations and tailoring them to meet the needs of small business owners and entreprenuers.

on moving to Kansas City

I was born and raised in Rhode Island, went to college in upstate New York, and then lived in DC for 8 years. Needless to say moving to Kansas City was a bit of a culture shock… albeit one that has exposed me to things I never would have experienced. I have to admit I love PBR, Gates, the lack of traffic, and of course my husband and his family. Slowly but surely the midwest is becoming my home…

on personal interests

I believe full heartedly that a well rounded life leads to a successful professional career. That’s not to say I don’t work late and on the weekends to meet deadlines.. and I know it sounds cliche.. but when I do take time away from work I love to cook, paint, write and spend time with my family and friends.
